In the Spirit of Thanksgiving

Here is a link I meant to share with you before Thanksgiving but forgot. I played this for my class during Sunday lesson, and some of you asked for the link. Here is the link and also the link for all the Mormon Messages. Mormon Messages are short two or three minutes clips with inspiring messages about the gospel. I LOVE them! Hope you will take time to look at them.

What's in Your Purse?

Thank you to all of you who came to Young Women in Excellence. I really enjoyed all the talents that were shared. I wanted to post to the Blog the handout I gave out that when with my talk. I hope you will always remember what's really important and what you need to carry with you throughout life!

What’s In Your Purse?

1. Lipstick—Always watch what comes from your lips. Gossip is not something you can take back.

2. Lotion/Handsanitizer—Spread love, friendship and the Gospel to everyone you know. Remember to always keep yourself pure and morally clean.

3. Drivers License—We are given rules and regulations to get us safely back to our Heavenly Father.

4. Day Planner—Prioritize and always have time for the important things in life.

5. Pen—Write in your journal. Write thoughts, feelings, and events. You’ll be amazed at your own growth.

6. Tylenol/Kleenex—The atonement is to take away our pain and wipe away our tears and our sin. Trust in the Lord.

7. Mirror—Never forget who you are. You are a daughter of God!

8. Check Book—Always pay your tithing. It will bring blessings

9. Temple Recommend—This is your passport to your father in Heaven.

10. Cell Phone—Call on your father in Heaven. Prayer brings strength, peace, comfort and confidence.

Young Women In Excellence

I am posting a great link I found that lists projects that could be done for Young Women In Excellence. I know this is a little late, but for those of you who have asked me for some examples, here they are. This is also a great place to start to plan for next year! I'm looking forward to Wednesday night and seeing what you all will bring to display!

Halloween Party!

So here is what's going on:

• Be there on Friday at 4:00 When you get there you need to pick a station to help set up, run when the kids are there, and clean it up afterward. Get there first to be able to pick the one you want to do.

• Come in costume if you can!
  

• So far I have Dhesorae and Hunter that need rides. If you need a ride, PLEASE let us know. We don't want you to miss activities because you don't have a ride! (that goes for church too)

Wednesday's Activity

Wednesday's Activity this week will be gun safety with the young men. On Saturday we will get a chance to practice what we learn and go shooting, also with the young men. We will meet at 7:00pm at the church on Wednesday. The time and place for shooting on Saturday will be announced on Wed when we have a count of how many of you are interested in going. It will likely be in the late morning hours. Hope to see you all there!

Don't forget that the ward harvest dinner is on Saturday as well at 6:30. We hope to see you there too!

Hey!

You will now be able to do all your personal progress online. Please take a few minutes to check out the link I have included below. This site allows you to link to scriptures, track progress, submit plans and report completion, and keep your journal securely online. When finished, you can even print the entire book, including the journal. REMEMBER that Young Womens in Excellence is coming soon. Take a few minutes and look around. This is so awesome!

Pizza Party

For our activity this week we will be having a pizza party! We will be at sister Mathie's house at 7:00. (30 Lombard St. Presque Isle) You won't want to miss it! Hope to see you there!
